Meet Our Team

Hannah Damon
Hannah DamonAssociate Director
Hannah was born on a Saturday in Eagan, Mn. As a child, her career aspirations included being a whale trainer, an elevator button pusher, and a movie costume designer. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2010 where she studied psychology and philosophy. She has always enjoyed connecting with people and solving problems.

Hannah first encountered Amnicon in 2008 when her good friend Brad Damon invited her to visit the summer camp where he was working. Brad and Hannah were married in 2012, and continued returning, volunteering, and working at Amnicon as often as possible. Hannah began full time as a director in 2015. She takes care of bookkeeping, waste water treatment, and scheduling retreats, hermitages, and summer trips.

In her free time, she loves to hike, swim, crochet, cook, garden, and spend time with her wonderful husband.

 Brad Damon
Brad DamonAssociate Director, Acting Executive Director
Brad first came to Amnicon in the summer of 2008 and he keeps coming back. Through Guiding (2008, 2009, 2014), Summer Assistant Directing (2010), and volunteering, Brad has grown closer to the camp community and has grown in his faith. He often refers to Camp Amnicon as his “spiritual home”.

Associate Director since June 2015, Brad gets to hire and train the summer staff, maintain buildings and grounds, write the newsletter, and manage the website, among other things.

In what is left of his free time Brad spends time with his son, embarks on his own wilderness adventures, enjoys strategy games, plays guitar, and performs in live theater productions with Wise Fool Theater in Duluth, MN.

Audrey Dontje Lindell
Audrey Dontje LindellAssistant Director
Audrey has been a part of the Amnicon community since her first summer at Amnicon as a guide in 2014. Audrey loves being able to call the shores of Lake Superior home and appreciates the variety of hats she gets to wear as the resident volunteer.

In her free time, Audrey enjoys reading fiction and taking advantage of the convenient beauty of the Amnicon site by walking the trails on-site and canoeing the Amnicon River.

When not at camp, you may find Audrey at Concordia Lutheran Church in nearby Superior, WI, where she serves as Youth and Family Coordinator.
