Volunteer Work Weekends
Amnicon hosts several volunteer retreats, or ‘work weekends’ each year. Everyone is invited to join the Amnicon family for fulfilling work, good food, and great company. Days are usually spent working in pairs or groups. Evenings are spent relaxing around the fire, eating good food, playing games, and reconnecting with the Amnicon Family. Food and lodging are provided–we just need you!
Spring Work Weekends focus on helping us get set up for the summer. Fall Work Weekends focus on winterizing the camp. You might be setting up or taking down wall-tents, repairing buildings, moving supplies, sewing, cooking, cleaning, or packing food for our campers.
All ages and skill levels welcome!

The Amnicon Volunteer Corps
The Amnicon Volunteer Corps is a one-year voluntary service program. This program is for people excited about living simply, working for social justice, and promoting care for the earth and all God’s people.
Volunteer Corps members recieve room and board and a monthly living expenses stipend. Members join the full-time staff in leading Amnicon’s programs, while enjoying camp life through all four seasons.

Do you have any experience with photo editing or graphic design? Work remotely or from camp, and help us stay connected with our campers, seasonal staff, volunteers, and donors!
Do you love working outdoors? We have several miles of hiking trails that can always use a trim! Removing obstructive branches, filling in pot holes, and weed whacking are all satisfying ways to make our site more safe and hospitable for our campers and guests seeking to experience the peace of the wilderness.
Do you love helping out behind the scenes? Do you have an eye for details, and an appreciation for organization? Help us regularly in the office with record keeping and administration. Sometimes the work of the Lord looks like filing paperwork and color-coding spreadsheets!
Do you love taking pictures? We often have events at camp, on trail, and in town which we would love to be photographed. BYO camera and get ready to have fun, connect with people, and help us tell the Amnicon story!
Hospitality is important to us! We can always use help cleaning the lodge, the dining hall, and the hermitage cabins between guests. Your valuable service will have a direct impact on the people we serve.
