Amnicon has carefully considered the recommendations & guidelines for camps from the American Camps Association (our accrediting org), the CDC, and the WI Dept of Health. Everything we’ve been reading from them has actually been very encouraging! Apparently the unique way Amnicon already operates (working with small groups of people in remote outdoor locations) is the safest way to do things. We are confident that we’ll be able to provide excellent wilderness adventures for our campers this summer, while reducing the risk of COVID transmission down to an acceptable level.
We’re approaching the summer in two phases. Phase 1 is when we will welcome our summer staff team to our site and train them in everything they need to know to create an awesome experience for our campers. During Phase 2 we will welcome campers onto our site and run our tripping program.
