FOOD

$12/person/meal + One-time Cleaning Fee for Dining Space

When Amnicon is able to provide meal service, we’ll serve meals under the Gathering Pavilion during the summer and in the Dining Hall during the colder seasons.

Menus are set by the cook after receiving any special dietary restrictions, and always include a variety of delicious and soul-filling options at each setting. Meal service may not be available for all dates.

Retreat groups may bring their own food. We’ll provide fridge space for you to use while you’re here, but unfortunately we’re not able to provide access to the commercial kitchen for cooking. You’re welcome to serve cold food, pick up pizzas, or bring your own crock pots.

How do meals work?

If you’d like Amnicon to provide meal service, then all meals we provide are served in the Dining Hall (in winter) or the Gathering Pavilion (in summer), lovingly made with fresh ingredients. Menus are set by the cook after receiving any special dietary restrictions, and always include a variety of delicious and soul-filling options at each setting. Meals can be served at whatever time works best for the retreat group. Meal service may not be available all dates.

You’re welcome to bring all your own food if you’d prefer. In the Fellowship Hall we provide with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and hot water dispenser. Amnicon provides mugs & hot drinks for all retreat groups as well. You’re welcome to cook over a fire outdoors, or bring electric cooking devices (such as crock pots) to use in the lodge. Retreat guests are not permitted access to the commercial kitchen in the dining hall.

Are pets welcome?

Sometimes! We love dogs and dogs love Amnicon. Unfortunately we aren’t able to allow dogs in the Lodge or the Dining Hall. If someone in your group wants to bring a dog, please contact us to see if one of our dog-friendly cabins are available.

$375/night

This rate includes private use of all amenities at Adizokan Village.

FOOD

$12/person/meal + one-time cleaning fee for dining space

All meals are served back at base camp, lovingly made with fresh ingredients. Menus are set by the cook after receiving any special dietary restrictions, and always include a variety of delicious and soul-filling options at each setting.

If you’d prefer to prepare your own food out at Adizokan, that’s more than fine too! There’s a large cooking fire ring with an adjustable grate, plenty of fire wood, and an animal-proof food locker for food storage. You’re welcome to bring your own camping-style stoves as well.

How do meals work?

You are welcome to cook for yourselves out at Adizokan Village if you’d like! We provide an animal-proof food locker, a fire ring with an adjustable cooking grate, unlimited firewood, and an assortment of campfire cooking equipment, including pots, pans, serving utensils, matches, soap, bleach, and tubs for washing dishes.  Contact us for a complete list of cooking supplies if you’re interested. We also provide many gallons of water in jugs, and Amnicon staff will refill water jugs daily. If you’re cooking for yourselves, we recommend bringing paper plates & bowls which you can then burn after each meal to reduce the amount of dishes you have to wash and also the amount of waste that goes into the landfill.

If you’d like us to provide meals for you, we are often happy to do that as well. Please inquire with a director to see if meal service is available for your group.

Are pets welcome?

We love pets, and are often very happy to have you bring your pets to Amnicon. However, there are times and circumstances when we are unable to accommodate pets on site. Please contact us before bringing a pet to see if we can welcome your pet while you’re here.

Pets are not allowed in the lodge or dining hall.

Please contact us to inquire about dates & availability:

“On a retreat, away from the cares and responsibilities of daily life,

people finally have the space and time for

reflection, prayer, fun, worship, relationship building, and great experiences.

Amnicon is easy to get to, only 30 minutes from Duluth,

but you feel like you are miles away from the demands of life.”
