COVID

The lodge will not be available for rental June-August 2021.

We have established the following guidelines to help protect our staff and guests:

  • A group renting the lodge must also rent all three private guest cabins during their stay to ensure that the only people on site are members of their group
  • The retreat group accepts all risk of COVID transmission
  • Please do not come if you are sick in anyway, or have been in recent contact with someone known to be positive for COVID. We will happily refund all payments made if you are unable to come due to illness.
  • Amnicon Staff will be more distanced than normal, so we won’t be cleaning bathrooms or refilling the firewood while the group is in the lodge
  • We encourage all retreat guests to spend as much time outside as possible, and to wear cloth face coverings or stay behind an impermeable barrier anytime you share an indoor space with someone you don’t typically live with
  • We encourage increasing ventilation as much as possible while groups are indoors by opening windows and using fans
  • Meal service is available upon request. Amnicon staff will remain in the kitchen behind a plexi-glass shield while retreaters are in the dining hall. We encourage groups to get their food in the dining hall, and then go outside to eat. We have built a large picnic pavilion with a firepit, and have garage heaters available

COVID

We have established the following guidelines to help protect our staff, campers, and guests:

  • The retreat group accepts all risk of COVID transmission
  • Please do not come if you are sick in anyway, or have been in recent contact with someone known to be positive for COVID. We will happily refund all payments made if you are unable to come due to illness.
  • We recommend only allowing people who regularly live together to share a wall-tent. Retreaters may bring their own tents, or borrow small camping tents from Amnicon to increase the number of sleeping spaces
  • Groups who are cooking for themselves out at Adizokan Village are advised to have a limited number of people preparing & serving food, to limit the number of shared surfaces.
  • Groups who choose to have meals provided by Amnicon will be served in the dining hall, and then will go outside to eat. We have built a large picnic pavilion for all-weather outdoor seating options.
  • Access to the bathrooms & sauna in the Lodge may NOT be permitted to retreat guests staying at Adizokan Village. We anticipate building single-stall, outdoor showers before summer 2021.

“On a retreat, away from the cares and responsibilities of daily life,

people finally have the space and time for

reflection, prayer, fun, worship, relationship building, and great experiences.

Amnicon is easy to get to, only 30 minutes from Duluth,

but you feel like you are miles away from the demands of life.”
