Lodge Improvements Underway!
A typical fall & winter at Amnicon would be busy with welcoming groups to Alleluia Lodge. Due to COVID concerns, however, our retreat season is non-existent this year. Instead, we’re taking advantage of this time to do some major work refreshing the look of the lodge!
We just completed overhauling the exterior with brand new siding, trim, fascia, and soffit. This huge project was made possible because of LP Building Solutions, who donated all of the siding material. Through a grant and some generous individual donors, we were able to cover the cost of hiring a local contractor to install the material. The material came to us with just the prime coat on, so this spring/summer we’ll paint it to give it a finished look.
Over the winter we’ll begin refreshing the Fellowship Hall in the lodge. The first step will be to re-panel the ceiling with some nice pine tongue & groove boards and upgrade the current light fixtures to LED. We’ll also do some updates to the fireplace to make it more functional for the space and then put down new tile and carpet throughout the room.
We’re so excited to see these projects happen and even more excited to welcome you into our refreshed lodge when its safe to do so!
