Amnicon is hiring a director of Strategic Development

Role Description:

The position strives to cultivate individual relationships and strategic organizational partnerships in
line with the Amnicon’s mission. As one of three director-level positions, this position is situated in the
Twin Cities. The Director of Strategic Development primarily interfaces with the Board, the Director of
Outreach and Administration, and the Director of Programs and Facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Connect with individual key donors to develop new and maintain existing donor relationships.
    • Maintain personal communications with donors
    • Be the primary point of contact with new high-potential donors
    • Collaborate with other directors, board, volunteers, and committees to execute regular, ongoing fundraising efforts, such as campaign letters and fundraising events
    • Participate & Support the Fund Development committee
    • Focus on personal connections in the Twin Cities area
  • Serve as an Amnicon liaison to cultivate new and existing organizational partnerships.
    • Nurture existing relationships with churches & other organizations regularly using Amnicon programs
    • Expand organizational outreach
    • Explore potential program partners (e.g charter schools, tribes, higher ed, etc)
  • Research grant opportunities to present to the Board and serve as lead grant writer in collaboration
    with other staff to ensure programmatic alignment
  • Work closely with other director staff, the Board of Directors, and committees to advise and present
    ideas and solutions for challenges and opportunities facing Amnicon.
  • Provide Christian leadership consistent with the Amnicon mission

Accountability:

  •  Reports to the Amnicon Foundation Board of Directors.
  • Regularly attends board meetings and fund development committee meetings
  • Participates in regular reviews with the Personnel Committee.

Expectations with Support:

  • Half-time position at $30,000 salary
  • Travel with mileage reimbursement throughout the service area
  • Budgeted funds to take donors and organizational partners to lunch/coffee
  • Camp can provide a laptop if needed
